I saw this young man get on the bus on 14th street with his drums the other day. It’s one thing I’ve never done in my 26 years living here. I always had a car, so I never took my gear on public transportation.

I played a few weddings and corporate events over the years with just a snare, bass drum, one cymbal and hi-hats. 

No one on the dance floor missed the rest of my kit. The backlash came from from bandmates. Why? It’s because I didn’t have enough drums. Interesting, isn’t it?

Oh well. I’ll never know what this experience is like. I’m retired from dragging drums around.
I must say, this looks pretty efficient.
