I met these two women through social media. They were big fans of Ain’t Too Proud since the beginning. We found a way to meet in person while the show was in Los Angeles. We instantly had a connection, and over the past few months, we have gotten to know more about each other. In fact, I was on their youtube channel early on. I had two extra tickets to the 2019 Ain’t Too Proud Tony Awards after-party. I immediately thought of asking Sara and Jen to go. The problem was, they live in the Bay Area and the party was in New York City. I shot them a text on Tuesday and by Wednesday night or so, they had their flights booked, hotel reserved and outfits ready for that Sunday night party.

It’s nice to be able to make others happy. It’s one of the reasons why I love my job. Seeing so many smiles at the end of our show is incredibly rewarding.
