I put on my noise canceling headphones each time I enter the NYC Subway. It’s just too crazy, noisy and annoying on the train for me. My headphones enable me to be in my happy place in a matter of seconds.

I made a playlist of songs on Spotify so I can enter another dimension while commuting.

I call that playlist “Subway Sanity.” Some of the bands who are on that collection of easy listening tunes are Bad Brains, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, early Funkadelic, Kings X and now….TOOL! I’m blasting this classic right now. It’s a blessing to hear the glory of Tool on Spotify. These guys are amazing. 

I can’t wait to hear their new album. Until then, it’s time for me blast their soothing music to calm my nerves on the train ride.
