Yes she IS the queen! I met her while subbing for Jared Schonig at the last revival of The Color Purple on Broadway a few years ago. She was already starring in the Netflix show Orange Is The New Black at the time as well as doing her thang on the broadway stage. 

Now she has a clothing line. I’m sure she has all kinda of other things happening too.

She came to watch the last run though of my new show Ain’t Too Proud – The Life And Times Of The Temptations. 

We head out on Monday for tech rehearsal on the campus of Indiana University for 10 days, then we head to DC to play The Kennedy Center.

It was nice to see her again. She is so cool!

I’m really looking forward to the next step in this production. This show is really special.
