My daughter texted me late in the afternoon last Saturday wondering what I was up to. She took practice ACT/SAT tests that morning and wanted to get out of the house to take a break. I told her I was in-between shows at Ain’t Too Proud and could meet for dinner.
We had some quality father/daughter time together in midtown.
I love these kind of moments because they are unplanned and special.
In the couple of hours we had, we saw the new Ain’t Too Proud snow globe in Times Square, the new location of FAO Schwartz, Rockerfeller Plaza, we walked up 5th Ave, wandered through Trump Tower, saw the redesigned Apple store and then we had to part ways – I had to get to work and she had to get back to her mom’s house.
I haven’t seen her in a while because I’ve been working a lot and she’s been in her high school musical rehearsals. I’m glad we found time to connect.
I love this young lady. She’ll be 17 in January but she will always be my girlie!
