This was one of the best things I’ve heard from The Daily. I listen to this podcast pretty much on a daily basis.

I have been reviewing some of the podcasts I missed over the holidays and finally heard this one. It’s about time the views of males in our society has been given some airtime. After listening to this podcast, I read some of the comments left on the New York Times website. It’s baffling how many negative comments I read. There are so many people who are dismissive. They have little regard to the issues these young men have faced. Too many commenters seemed to have empathy for the feelings and thoughts of the gentlemen being interviewed.

I feel that there are too many young men in America today who are sensing they are on the defensive and are hesitant to say how they really feel due to the “#metoo movement” and the potential ostracism they may face for having a dissenting opinion. The comments I read are a clear example of what happens when people push back on the cultural narrative that all men are rapists and all women are “survivors.” Consider me one of the many who intend on pushing back on the overwhelming bias I see in today’s media.

It’s time we listen closely to the thoughts and feelings of young men. They are hurting as much as young women are. There are two sides to every story and the truth often times is in the middle. None of the people reading this know what happened with Dr. Ford and Justice Kavanaugh. The rush to judgement and the jumping to conclusions make the participants in the court of public opinion gold medal winners:

As the controversy unfolded over accusations that the Supreme Court justice had sexually assaulted a girl during high school, a “Daily” listener asked the young men in her own family what they thought.
