“Yes I’m trying to corrupt them so they will be un-corrupted by the corruptibility that they’ve inherited from a society that refuses to see all people as human beings…
”What?!?
That is some serious word salad.
As one of the greatest orators of the 20th century (Malcolm X) used to say, “MAKE IT PLAIN!”
When he utters phrases like this, it doesn’t make him sound any smarter than he already is, it seems as if he’s using language to befog, discombobulate and muddy whatever message he’s trying to convey. Michael Eric Dyson makes some excellent points in this discussion early on, but loses points with his generalizations and personal attacks.
I agree with all of the speakers here to a certain degree, but tend to think more like Jordan and Stephen. By the way, the “Shitty Media Men” list? That was one of the worst things to ever come out of this “#metoo” campaign. It has caused serious damage. The person who put that list out is being rightfully sued. I hope she goes broke and never thinks of defaming anyone ever again.
I hope you can make it through these two hours. It’s well worth it. It’s thought provoking and enlightening. They didn’t get to the crux of the matter – political correctness- but they did cover many hot button topics.
There is good stuff here:
Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson and British actor and activist Stephen Fry take on American blogger Michelle Goldberg and American political commentator and academic Michael Eric Dyson in a fiery debate on political correctness in modern society.
