It’s amazing how much you can learn from watching how certain things were played by your favorite artits. I used to play along to this song back in 1982 when I was learning my craft. I played the beginning exactly the opposite (my right hand played 2 & 4). I guess it doesn’t really matter – as long as it sounded the same.

Neil Peart was still kicking a$$ in this video. I think I saw this tour when they came to Radio City. It was cool. I have always liked them and grew up playing along to Rush songs for a long time.

By the way…Tom Sawyer, is in my opinion, one of the top 10 greatest drumming songs ever recorded.
