Rasta Pasta. A place that I was told to visit if I ever went to Kensington Market in Toronto.
I made it. I almost missed this spot on the way out of the neighborhood on my way to another destination.
I’m glad I found it.
I was having a bad day due to a few Air BNB problems (no heat in the house where I was staying) as well as missing my kids, my girlfriend and California. I also want to spend more time with my mother too. This touring stuff…never again. The goal with all of this will be achieved if all goes well on March 21, 2019 – opening night for Ain’t Too Proud in New York.
Anyway, I walked into this restaurant, and the owner and his son told me they were closed on Mondays. I almost walked out and closed the door but was called back in. The owner asked if I wanted to have some curry goat. I said no, but then told me it would be free. I hesitated again due to the fact that I’m not into goat but, I gave in. I was a little hungry anyway and thought I’d try it.
IT WAS THE BEST CURRY GOAT EVERRRR!
No, seriously…it was good!
They told me they cook at the restaurant on Mondays to make food for some of the other store owners in that area of town.
They were so nice and generous. I’ll be back.
Canadians really are nice people.
