I recently had to listen to a half hour of what sounded like 3 pairs of sneakers tumbling around in a dryer. What I was actually hearing was three drummers soloing inside of the drum section of Guitar Center on 14th street.
I endured that punishment because I purchased this beauty. I got the last Yamaha recording custom brass snare in stock in the city at Guitar Center. I didn’t feel like waiting on a delivery from Musician’s Friend, the place where I buy musical equipment.
It looks lovely and sounds delicious. It’s exactly what I wanted and needed. I love the sound of this drum.
I’m not a gear head, nor a collector of drums, but I might be collecting a few more snares in the future.
I played on a Noble And Cooley while subbing for Damien Bassman at Spongebob the Musical and I really liked what I heard. Plus I played on one of their kits for the Memphis The Musical cast recording 10 years ago. What you hear on that recording is a Noble And Cooley.
I’m late to the gear game, but I had a hard time because… DRUMS ARE EXPENSIVE!!! How do you guys pay for this stuff?
I have old drums but I’m gonna update and upgrade my stuff over the next few years.
Hopefully I can get to NAMM for my second time in 2020 too! The first and only time I was there was in 2001.
I’ll bring my earplugs because I know it’s a chopsfest.
I love my Yamaha drums.
