I’ve spent most of the summer with my son. It’s been wonderful having some father/son time. My daugher has been working here and there, making a few dollars of her own. She’s also spent time with her friends and with some extended family members. 

Last night she contacted me to let me know that her day was free today. Since my son is away today, I made a plan to hang with my girlie. 

We had a foodie adventure that started out downtown on Grand Street. We walked, ate and drank our way all the way up to 14th. We stopped at several spots to shop too. It was a nice day for us to be together. 

I’m glad we had this on-on-one time. I’ve made sure I take advantage of each moment. I’ve been doing it since day one. 

She’s getting older and in a few more years, she’ll be graduating from high school.

I love these kind of days with my kids.
