I don’t see the point of having a soundcheck earlier in the day of a gig when there are multiple bands. The only way I feel it makes sense is when the people running the monitors can save the settings for the band members. If they don’t, I’d say that in my experience,  9 times out of 10, they have to re-set the monitor mix later anyway…AS YOU ARE PERFORMING!!

It’s awful.
It’s a waste of precious hours.
It’s just not worth it.

10PM gig with a bunch of bands? I’ll see you at 9:30 to do a line check and then hit at 10.

I know I’m not the only one frustrated with this, right?
