Movin’ On is the third studio album by the Commodores, released by Motown Records in 1975.

The album reached number 29 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and number seven on the R&B albums chart. The only single released from the album, “Sweet Love”, reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1976, making it the group’s first top ten hit on the chart.

This song was the B side of Sweet Love.

I remember listening to this song when I was young. I used to really dig the drum fills at the very end (starting at 3:44). They still sound cool to me. There is one fill that I was baffled by. That one starts at 4:25. I totally understand how to do it now. But, back when I was 10, I thought it was the most difficult thing EVER!

Do you hear those one sided tom toms?! Yeah, that was what people wanted back then. Why, I don’t know.

Isn’t it great how we can listen to just about anything on youtube? It is the virtual cut-out bin.
