I recently watched two “Beethoven” movies with my son recently. They were fun 90’s family dog movies. We tried to watch Beethoven’s 3rd today and couldn’t make it through 10 minutes it was so bad. 

I suggested to him that we watch an old family dog flick called Benji. I had always heard about it since I was a little kid but missed this one at the theater or drive in.

It was cute but man…the dog running around town scenes? Geez. This film could have been about 30 minutes without it. I guess that is what made it interesting? 

Well, I found the music kinda cool yet annoying. They played the same song over and over again while the dog was running all over town, but the rhythm section playing the grooves was kinda tight! I see why now. The Muscle Shoals dudes were laying it down. Nice.

Oh well, maybe we need to see A Dogs Purpose next?
