I have a new Broadway musical idea. I’m calling it, “Cornbread, Fish and Collard Greens – The Musical.” It will be a new smash hit show featuring the soulful sounds of Anthony Hamilton. I don’t know what the show will be about yet, but the music better sound like what we see in the video below.

This new musical will be set in a restaurant where ticket holders get a full soul food dinner as part of the admission price. Someone fixes you a plate, you sit down at a table and get your fingers sticky as you are entertained. Alcoholic drinks and hot sauce is extra!

I’ve always liked Anthony’s voice and singing, although I really wish he had a new set of songwriters to push him into pop stardom. His first album was fantastic. I’ve tried to get into the others he’s released but I just wasn’t feeling them.

Whatever…this new musical will have him singing like this, with all new material. He can throw in songs from his first album too, but I’d like to have songwriters write him some new classics.

Oh, he must have these background singers in the show. They sound great.
